Milo Oatmeal

One day, Mike asked me to cook oatmeal for him.
Was I surprised???? You betcha!!!

Well, so I thought of making Mango Oatmeal , since I have mangoes in the fridge.
But when I peeled the mango, the flesh was grey...
So, I peeled another one... grey
I have no more mangoes.

I was afraid that he won't eat it plain so I put in some 3in1 Milo to jazz it up a bit, few drops of vanilla too.
And I garnished it with a heart shape made of milk powder (my kid's milk formula, kekeke)

Did he eat it??? Yeah he did, all of it. And you know what he said after he finished up the whole thing.
" You can do it plain next time. Actually grandma used to cook this for me when I was a kid, but I never knew it was oatmeal. "

Duh!!!!!!

Now, time to do wash the pot and bowl... Duh!!!!!

I just had oatmeal for breakfast today, but I added in grounded black sesame powder and flaxseed. Should try putting in some milo in future :)

  5. nileey,
I hope u like it with milo, don't forget milk if you're not using 3 in 1.

    Belly Good Cooking,
It's not hard to eat oatmeal, just don't cook it too thick, use half water half milk and drop in fresh fruits.

    Jasmine,
You can refer to my Mango Oatmeal for the recipe, to get my proportions, but basically, just cook oatmeal the way you like it and flavour it with Milo

    Anonymous,
It was a tight slap on the forehead when he told me that, ahahahah!!!

    Bee,
Dinosaur oatmeal??? U mean, make a dino shape like my heart? Can put in anything with oatmeal, as long as u like it.

  7. Hahaha...he's not fussy at all right? How I wish JH can eat oatmeal like that...
If I put in Milo, immediately his brain will pop out: "very heaty". What to do? He's oredi programmed this way for more than 30 years...

    Min,
If can take plain, of course plain will be better. But some ppl cannot tahan plain.

I eat oatmeal made with rolled oats every day, almost, at work. (No quick nor instant oats for me.) It's always Milo or Neslo oatmeal!!! YUMMMY! (Just trying to utilize the Milo and Nescafe provided at work also ...)
